James P. Huish, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Huish is currently the president of the Arizona Foot & Ankle Medical Association.
Dr. James P. Huish received his undergraduate education from Brigham Young University–Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. He then went on to complete his medical school at the Kent State University-College of Podiatric Medicine located in Independence, Ohio, earning his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Huish completed his reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency through the Inspira Health Network in Vineland, New Jersey. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He is Board Certified in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He is a on the hospital staff at Mount Graham Regional Medical Center in Safford, AZ.
Dr. Huish has been serving the Gila Valley since 2016. He enjoys treating patients of all ages, including pediatrics. His practice provides both conservative and surgical treatments for a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions including diabetic foot care, bunions, hammertoe, heel pain, ingrown toenails and plantar fasciitis. Dr. Huish specializes in foot and ankle deformity correction, Achilles tendon repair, trauma, pediatric and adult flatfoot correction, ankle arthroscopy, bunions and most other minor and major podiatric surgeries.
Burkley J. Jensen, DPM
Dr. Burkley J. Jensen grew up in Mesa, AZ and graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He attended Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He completed a three year foot and ankle reconstructive surgical residency in Upstate New York.
During his training he spent time in Baltimore, MD at the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics assisting in the correction of severe lower extremity deformities. His training has allowed him to treat a wide array of foot and ankle pathologies. His goal is to help people get better with conservative treatments (non surgical) but is ready to implement more aggressive treatments (surgery) when necessary. After his surgical residency his family moved to Bismarck, ND where he was employed by a large hospital system (level 2 trauma center) where he spent 9 years practicing as part of the Sports Medicine and Orthopedic surgery group. He is Board Certified in Reconstructive Foot and Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery.
He is passionate about this field of medicine and loves finding ways to get people literally back on their feet. He loves biking and hiking but his greatest passion is spending time with his wife and five kids. He also has strong family ties to the area. He looks forward to going on adventures with his family and getting to know the community!
